- Place value
- Counting to 100+
- Counting down
- Skip counting by 10’s and 5’s
- Writing #’s to 20
- Introduction to time, money and tallying
7–8-Year-old Classes (1st/2nd)
Class will include movement, games, counting collections, and word problems.
Skills Focus:
- Addition and subtraction in number and word problem form within 20
- Place value and comparing numbers
- Extend counting and understanding of counting
- Skip counting by 5’s, 10’s and begin 100’s
- Odd/even numbers
- Time
- Money
- Graphing and interpreting data
- 10 frames and number bonds
- Geometry
8-9 year Old Class (2nd /3rd)
Includes games, word problems, and mental math.
Skills Focus:
- Addition/subtraction problems in equation and word form (2 step)
- Beginning multiplication and division foundations
- Place value and utilizing that understanding
- Measurements: length, perimeter and volume
- Time and time intervals
- Money and money problems
- Graphing: representing and interpreting data
- Counting past 100 and skip counting by 2s, 5’s, 10’s and 100’s
- Read and write numbers to 1000
- The 4 operations
